Mr Guy Paremain is a Consultant Orthopaedic surgeon with over twenty years of experience.

He is a back specialist based in Guildford.

He trained at St Georges Hospital in London and the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore.

​

In 1998 he was appointed to his post at the Royal Surrey County Hospital.

​

He retains an interest in many aspects of Orthopaedics but has increasingly specialised in the management of problems affecting the lower back.

​

He continues to run  busy NHS and Private practices in Guildford where he works in conjunction with a multidisciplinary team of professionals. 

​

The majority of the patients that he sees do not require Spinal Surgery.

In fact, he no longer performs major operations in Private Hospitals.

He continues to perform Spinal Surgery at the Royal Surrey.

The majority of patients with low back pain and sciatica are managed nonoperatively. Pain management includes manipulative therapy, analgesia and targeted steroid injection.
