The scan above shows a very obvious slipped disc in a patients neck. The disc bulge is seen pushing back into the space occupied by the spinal cord


The scans above are cross sections through the same neck.
On the left, the section is through a normal disc and fluid (white) is seen all round the spinal cord.
On the right the slipped disc is seen to be pushing the spinal cord, especially on the right side of the scan
